Team AtomJack

AtomJack is an independent video game studio in beautiful Seattle, WA.

Founded by the co-creators of Plants vs. Zombies 2 and Peggle 2, industry veterans from AAA console, PC and social/mobile, the founders of AtomJack love making games and know how to make them together. Now with a great new team from all across the industry we are creating something completely new, just for you.


One of the founding members of AtomJack, Allen has twenty years of experience managing teams, products and software services at startups and companies such as Amazon, Microsoft, Bungie and PopCap/Electronic Arts. A veteran producer, Allen has spent over a decade working on some of the worlds top selling games in AAA, social and mobile. Some of the well-known titles he's worked on include the original Halo series, Destiny, TERA, Solitaire Blitz and Plants vs. Zombies, as well as working on the software design for the Xbox 360 console. Allen helped to create AtomJack because he wanted to make games that he cared about and believes that when talented and creative people work toward that goal, they can do amazing things.

Fun fact: Allen was polydactyl.

Mohan is one of the founding members of AtomJack and a master of systems design, with dual Master Degrees in Computer Science & Mathematics. He was a Game Design Lecturer at Cornell University for half a decade before jumping into the industry as a designer for AAA startup Loose Cannon, designing Tornado Outbreak and eventually to PopCap where he helped design Solitaire Blitz and became the Lead Designer of Plants vs. Zombies 2.

Favorite game: Star Control II

Fun fact: Mohan cannot snap his fingers.



David is also one of the founding members of AtomJack and has over 15 years experience creating art for some of the world’s most renowned studios at Sony, LucasArts and PopCap. David is an experienced hand at expanding those worlds into full, multi-product franchises, creating and contributing to characters and worlds loved by millions around the globe. Credits include Plants vs. Zombies, Zuma, Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, Syphon Filter, and the unreleased StarCraft: Ghost. David posts sketches and other personal work on his art blog:

Fun fact: DRP is building a collection of Flying V's.

Max is a founding member of AtomJack and started his path into game very young, drawing and writing about his favorite game characters at age 8 and programming Quake mods at 13. He holds a B.S. in Computational Media from Georgia Institute of Technology, which led him through some years of enterprise software development, small game contracting, and eventually a position designing and prototyping dozens of games at EA Pogo. He most recently completed a five year tenure at PopCap, where he developed technology for many great games, including Bejeweled Blitz, Zuma Blitz, and Peggle 2.

Favorite snack: Tangerines

Fun fact: Max has had beer on the beach with Shinji Aramaki.



ESandra manages the internal operations of our physical studio as well as the virtual operations of our social media. She holds a BFA from Ringling College of Art + Design with a focus on Digital Imaging and Communication. Before joining AtomJack, she was the Community Manager for LeftJet Studios and has worked in product marketing for several local boutique startups. Kieran graduated from the BFA program at DigiPen Institute of Technology in 2011 and spent three years working as a 3D and UI artist at Zombie Studios on America's Army and other serious games projects before joining the crew at AtomJack. Kieran continues to serve as an industry mentor to new students and is an active member of the local indie development and game jam scene. Floyd's job is to make sure all the cool art and awesome models move in a fun and entertaining way. He has had a varied career so far, with character animation on Ice Age, talking bottles in antacid commercials, creating animated pilots for television shows, and working on lots and lots of video games. Floyd came to AtomJack from Sony Online Entertainment, where he worked on Free Realms, Clone Wars Adventures, Everquest Next, as well as many other titles. He also enjoys teaching and has taught several animation courses at The Art Institute of California. Fun fact: Floyd once tore the MCL in his left knee while skateboarding in a giant squirrel costume.

John gained his game-industry battle scars at Proper Games in Scotland after receiving an MS in Computer Games Technology at the University of Abertay Dundee. In 2010 he returned to the States as a professor of game development, wrote a book on 2D Graphics Programming for Games, and tackled a couple indie games, but AtomJack lured him back to the west coast and full time development on our engine and art pipeline. Fun fact: John has taken a dip in every ocean, Loch Ness, and Earth's oldest, largest, deepest lake - Baikal.



Dan has a BS in Computer Science from DigiPen Institute of Technology where he worked with friends to create the award winning music shoot ‘em up, Solace as well as level design for Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet. After graduating he began his professional game design career at 5th Cell, making puzzles for the Scribblenauts franchise. When Dan isn’t making games at work, he’s making games at home, posting new projects on his website:

Kari’s been playing games since she could reach a keyboard and spent a lot of time with her brother playing anything they could get their hands on. While studying Psychology in college, she started to play online multiplayer games and fell in love with Halo 2. Determined to have a career doing something she loved, Kari started her new path as a tester on Halo 3 and spent six years working at Microsoft Studios on several AAA titles such as Age of Empires Online, Gears of War and Lips. Kari comes to AtomJack from PopCap Games where she worked as QA Project Manager and Producer on Peggle 2. Watch Kari stream games in her off time at

Greg has a degree in Sociology from University of Utah that includes game specific coursework from Digipen Institute of Technology.  Since then he has been developing games for over a decade, starting out at WildTangent, working on many different casual and downloadable games for PC. Later he moved on to Flagship Studios where he worked on Mythos and Hellgate: London and joined Runic Games as one of their earliest members, contributing extensively to the technology for Torchlight and Torchlight 2.
